It is now possible to:

  1. Easily transfer optimized flowcharts from testing to live environments
  2. Schedule migrations during off-peak hours to minimize disruption
  3. Quickly recover from any issues by rolling back to previous flowchart versions
  4. Track and review all changes made to flowcharts across environments

Business Value: This enhancement significantly streamlines the process of deploying new or updated customer interaction flows. By enabling seamless transitions between staging and production environments, it reduces time-to-market for service improvements, minimizes the risk of errors, and increases agility in responding to changing customer needs. The system promotes better collaboration between development and operations teams, ensures efficient resource utilization, and facilitates continuous improvement of customer interaction strategies.

Note: While this functionality will be available upon upgrade, we recommend coordinating with our support team to ensure proper setup and training for your team. Please contact our support team to schedule a consultation and activation of this feature.

2. New Feature: Automated Customer Personalization Data Cleanup

Enhanced data privacy functionality implementing automatic removal of customer data post-SMS-session expiration:
  • Configurable data retention settings through the session management interface
  • Automated deletion triggered by session expiration events
  • Robust error handling and retry mechanisms for failed deletions
  • Comprehensive audit logging of all data cleanup activities

It is now possible to:

  1. Configure automatic data cleanup rules per flowchart requirements
  2. Monitor data deletion events through detailed activity logs
  3. Ensure GDPR and data protection compliance through automated retention policies
  4. Track and verify successful removal of expired session data

Business Value: This enhancement strengthens data privacy while optimizing system resources. By automatically managing the customer data lifecycle, it reduces operational overhead, ensures consistent application of data retention policies, and minimizes compliance risks. The feature provides peace of mind through verified data cleanup processes and helps maintain optimal system performance by preventing unnecessary data accumulation.

Note: This feature can be enabled through the Session Expiration settings in the flowchart configuration panel. We recommend reviewing your data retention requirements before activation. Contact our support team for guidance on optimal configuration for your use case.

3. Stability Improvement: Template Functionality

Architectural enhancement delivering increased reliability and performance of template processing:

  • Migration to redundant architecture for template handling
  • Advanced failover mechanisms for uninterrupted template availability
  • Load balancing across multiple processing nodes for optimal performance

It is now possible to:

  1. Process high volumes of template requests with enhanced reliability
  2. Experience no downtime during system maintenance or updates
  3. Scale template processing capacity automatically based on demand

Business Value: This architectural upgrade significantly enhances the stability and reliability of template-based communications. Implementing redundant systems and failover mechanisms ensures the continuous operation of critical messaging functions and maintains consistent performance under heavy loads. The enhancement reduces operational risks and improves customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery.

Note: This improvement is implemented automatically during the system upgrade process. While no specific action is required from users, we recommend monitoring template performance metrics after the upgrade to take full advantage of the enhanced capabilities. Our support team is available to assist with any questions about the new architecture.

4. Bug Fix: Removal of Unsupported Regular Expression Toggle for Default Keywords

Resolution for incorrectly displayed feature in default keyword interface:

  • Removed unsupported Regular Expression toggle from default keyword UI
  • Cleaned up legacy component references in keyword configuration
  • Updated interface to show only supported comma-separated format

It is now possible to:

  1. Configure default keywords without confusion about format options
  2. Use clear, comma-separated list format for all default keywords
  3. Add and edit keywords with consistent validation rules
  4. View keyword configuration without unsupported toggle options

Business Value: This fix eliminates potential confusion and improves user experience by removing an unsupported feature. By clearly indicating the supported comma-separated format, it prevents configuration errors, reduces support queries, and ensures reliable keyword processing.

Note: After this update, all keywords will continue to use a comma-separated format. No action is required from users, as existing keyword configurations will remain unchanged. If you would like to see regular expression support added for default keywords in a future update, please send your feedback to our support team to help us prioritize this enhancement.

5. UI Improvement: Improved Default Keyword Role-Language Validation Message

Enhanced error messaging for role-language uniqueness validation for default keywords:
  • Updated error message to identify conflicting role-language keyword pairs
  • Improved visibility of validation feedback in the interface
  • Added specific details identifying conflicting configuration
SMS Gateway Release Notes 12.2024 image 4

Figure 4 – Error messages now precisely identify which existing role-language pair conflicts with your default keyword configuration

It is now possible to:

  1. Quickly understand why a default keyword configuration was rejected
  2. Identify exactly which existing role-language pair causes the conflict
  3. Receive clear guidance on configuration constraints

Business Value: This improvement to error messaging reduces confusion during default keyword configuration. Providing clear, specific feedback about role-language conflicts, it speeds up the configuration process, reduces support queries, and helps maintain proper keyword routing setups. The enhanced clarity helps users make informed corrections quickly and confidently.

Note: The underlying validation preventing duplicate role-language combinations remains unchanged. The system now simply communicates these constraints more effectively. No action is required for existing configurations, as this update only enhances the error messaging displayed during the creation and editing of default keywords.

6. New Feature: Support for Custom Consent Management Option

Enhanced configuration supporting customized consent management implementations:

  • Added configuration for customer consent handling
  • Implemented audit logging for consent verification activities
  • Introduced compliance-focused monitoring capabilities

It is now possible to:

  1. Configure custom consent management workflows
  2. Track consent verification activities through detailed audit logs
  3. Support external consent management system integrations

Business Value: This enhancement provides flexibility for organizations with specialized consent management requirements. By enabling integration with external consent systems, it supports complex compliance frameworks while maintaining audit capabilities. The feature allows businesses to implement tailored consent workflows while ensuring transparency and maintaining proper messaging activities.

Note: This feature requires administrator configuration and should only be enabled after careful consideration of compliance requirements. When enabled, consent verification will be managed by your external system, with all activities logged for audit purposes. Please consult with our support team and your compliance department before implementing this change, as it may affect your regulatory obligations and consent management practices.
