What Is Google Agentspace?
Recently introduced at a Google Cloud workshop, Agentspace is a new enterprise AI platform built on Gemini, Google’s multimodal foundation model. It brings together intelligent search, content generation, and data analysis in a single secure workspace. Agentspace allows teams to research through a variety of documentation and data in tools like Google Drive, SharePoint, BigQuery, and Salesforce via multimodal intelligent search, analysis, and synthesis.
The platform includes tools such as:
- NotebookLM Plus – for research and synthesis
- Agent Builder – to create and customize task-specific agents

Generative AI vs AI Agents: What’s the Difference?
You might be asking: How is an AI agent different from ChatGPT or Claude?
While generative AI tools like ChatGPT excel at conversation and content generation, AI agents offer autonomy and actionability.
Example:
- A generative model can suggest a 3-day conference agenda.
- An AI agent can create the agenda, schedule it on your calendar, and send invites to attendees.

How does Google Agentspace help?
The user interface of Agentspace is an intuitive chat-style interface—similar to ChatGPT. You interact with AI agents using natural language prompts. Whether you’re on the data, marketing, or sales team, Agentspace is designed to support you.
For example:
- You’re a data analyst and need to pull top-selling product data?
- You’re a marketer brainstorming content for an abandoned cart email?
Agentspace allows you to specify a preferred agent in your prompt. For example:
“Data canvas assistant, what are the top 3 revenue-driving SKUs in Q4?”
If you’re unsure which agent to use, just ask your question normally—Agentspace will intelligently route your request to the right agent, whether it’s a pre-built Google expert agent or a custom one built by your team.
Similarly, for content generation, you can choose a model such as Gemini 1.5, or let Agentspace use Google’s default stable model.
The more context Agentspace has, the better the output. By connecting to your data warehouses, document repositories, and business tools, Agentspace supports full-cycle marketing operations—from analysis to activation—freeing teams to focus on higher-level strategy.
